School education in Paphos
Upon completing GCSE “O” and “A” levels, children can receive career and educational guidance enabling them to choose the right university they wish to enter either in the US, the UK, the EU, or Australia. The various backgrounds of teachers and students offer a rich and diverse school experience in Paphos.
There are many families who would like further information on the schools available in Paphos for their school-age children. We are pleased to let you know that there are a few options and we have prepared a list of the available schools inside and around Paphos. There are four main and accredited private schools in the Paphos area:
The Learning Centre (TLC)
Located in St George, TLC is a private school with classes for ages 3 to 18.
The International School of Paphos
Schooling children since 1987, the International School of Paphos is located in the Mesogi/Mesa area near the downtown. As a private English-speaking school, it has a wonderful campus with a host of modern facilities opened in 2006. Many teachers at this school have been teaching there for over 20 years and the staff are very nice, cooperative and approachable. Parents and school personnel are in close cooperation to help students in a several ways to become well-rounded, responsible and global citizens.

Based in Peyia, it is building new school premises in the Tomb of the Kings area. Following the British National Curriculum, the school caters to each student’s individual learning style with the small size classes it has.
The American Academy
Operating for over 22 years, the academy opened its new Paphos campus in 2010 located in Limassol. It follows a modified English National Curriculum.
There are also families who prefer to send their children to Greek schools rather than English speaking schools. There are Greek schools available in each village and children can start their education there. Our suggestion for families is to visit schools and talk to the teachers in order to develop a better idea about the school they have chosen to send their children to.
